Echo SRM-225 No start

I have an srm-225 that died while in use. It's only about 4 years old. Tried changing plug first, no luck. Checked for spark and found that the coil was bad so I replaced it (yes I set the air gap correctly during installation.) I also cleaned the spark arrestor screen. Now it has a spark and seems like it wants to start but it only runs for less than about 1 second. The next step was fuel. I replaced the carb, fuel filter and lines, and the air filter. Same problem, it runs for about 1/2 a second. Not sure what else to check. There is fresh gas in the tank also. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Did you verify good fuel flow? When replacing all that fuel stuff, did you drain the tank? Have you checked the carb linkages to make sure the throttle and choke are working? Give us the model and serial number off the sticker so we can look it up.

I did not drain the tank, but my son had just filled it with fresh gas right before it quit. Throttle and choke are working. I'm assuming fuel is flowing because the carb and all of the lines and filter are brand new. When I pumped the primer, it drew fuel into the carb right away.
Model; SRM-225

Your lines may be crossed.
"Fresh fuel right before it quit" Dump that fuel and add fresh 50:1 mix.
Make sure it's mixed fuel.

My son told me it was fresh gas and oil that he had mixed a little over a week ago. He's done it a thousand times, so I'm sure it's the proper mix. I'm fairly sure it quit because the coil went bad. There was no spark and the coil tested bad with my MM, that's why I replaced it. I'll swap the fuel and see what happens.

Did you see the fuel go into the carb, or just see it going through the fuel lines? Let us know what happens with fresh fuel.
