Dentent spring

I got a new carburetor from Amazon and it came with that little spring and a longer one. Parts diagram I got from Jack's Small engine shows both so I thought maybe it came off and I didn't know it. The yellow lever with long spring pushes forward to choke and back fast idle. But it's not doing anything for the choke so I don't know what to do

I can’t find that spring on any diagrams. What was the part number you ordered? It is not uncommon to get the wrong parts on AutoScam. I still don’t believe that spring belongs on you engine.

I don't know because I don't have one, but do the autochoke versions have any springs on them?

Appears it is just choke and the auto choke version. Item 217 is the choke return spring


The spring shown is for the air vane on the auto choke system.

209A is what I saw in the parts link Jack's Small engine sent me. What I got from Amazon had the two springs, carburetor gaskets, fuel filter, air filter, and the back plate that mounts over carburetor then air filter cover. It has the primer bulb on it that's the main reason I got the kit . It had the carburetor number, air filter number and said for 120000 models . I wasn't sure if it extra spring or not. My issue is choke not working
