Walker - fuel pump replacement recommendation

I have heard bad reviews on Walker's valve cover mounted fuel pump. Does anyone have a recommendation of a model that would replace Walker's valve cover style fuel pump?

What Walker model and serial number do you have?

Better yet, what engine does this machine have because Walker does not build the engines for their machines.

Does this have that odd mechanical rocker actuated valve cover mounted fuel pump? Or is it the typical vacuum diaphragm pulse fuel pump with a pulse hose connected to the valve cover?

For what it's worth, I would use the pulse diaphragm type if given a choice.
 
What are you intending to do?
Are you wanting to bypass the OE fuel pump?
Are you wanting to replace the engine?
Do you even have a Walker with that engine?
