D110 not getting gas on startup. Runs fine once started. Fuel pump works, carb not getting gas to cylinder. Can start by manually manipulating throttle… possible governor issue?

I had a LA 135 ? similar start issue just when cold . I rigged the intake so a eyedropper of gas could be injected through the air intake hose .
Problem solved .

Adjusting the throttle at cranking rpm is waisted - ed effort because with a constant speed governor the the throttle lever adjusts nothing at cranking speed . IIR the throttle plate is wide open at cranking RPM .

The governor has only one job and that is to "govern" (control) the top running speed (RPM) of the engine, that is it, end of story!

No starts or surging have nothing to do with the governor operation.

Governors do not require adjustment once they have been set during initial factory assembly or if internal engine work has been performed.

The most common problem is the choke is not closing fully due to a cable adjustment problem or linkage issue.

Verify the choke butterfly is closing correctly.

Had a LA-135 ? that was stubborn at start up cold . Adjusted all that could should be without result . Hell, i need ta mow not monkey with this thing so i solved the problem by putting a eye dropper of gasoline in the air intake . IIR i could put it in setting on the seat . Started fine after once started .

Not a choke issue… solenoid issue? What should the voltage be on the solenoid at startup?
