My mower is a 42" Cub Cadet zero turn, a 2017 model with about 110 hours on it. I mowed my lawn and stopped to move some lawn furniture. When I engaged the blades they engaged for maybe 20 seconds and stopped. I thought I had slung the belt but it was intact. Tried it a few times and each time it would engage for a few seconds and then disengage. After a few times of this it will not engage at all. Bad Switch? Thanks in advance.

My crystal ball is broken. You might need to get the VOM out and see where the voltage is being lost. Might be a bad clutch coil.

Mowers break even at 110 hours. It may be a simple connection issue or a rubbed wire problem. The switch is possible if people have been yanking on it too hard.

We need the product identification number off the label under the seat. There needs to be some simple testing done.

Worked on a Husqvarna Saturday a.m. pto wouldn't engage,
voltage in spec, resistance on coil in spec, adjusted the rotor air gap,
that was it!
Thanks,

The PTO switch is possible, but all the PTO wire connections need to be checked and verified good with at least a visual inspection and a test light to see if it has power or where it is losing it. If you are not mechanically inclined, try to find someone who is.

The part diagram exploded view (In Parts Tree) shows to have a reverse implement off plunger switch in the left side hand control area (They are usually well hidden). That will disable the PTO clutch power.

Do the blades spin freely? Do the engine RPMs drop right before the PTO disengages? These things shouldn't cause this problem, but might still point to the problem.
