Running fine engine just died, very little fuel in line. Checked filter no problem. When i turn ignition on, no sound from fuel build up. Checked both fuses, good. What step next?

Hello,

Good that you let us know the basic engine model, but we need to know what machine this is on. Look for the manufacturers label and let us know the model and serial number.

This basic engine does not show to have an electric fuel pump, but it does have an electric solenoid valve on the bottom of the carburetor. You should hear a faint click at the carburetor each time the key is turned on.

From your description fuel is not getting pumped by the crankcase pulse pump when the engine is cranked.

Did you recently add fuel from a fuel can that has been sitting open. Possible water in the fuel?

Model 5901665 on a Snapper 200S, serial number 4000015531, model description S200XTBVE2861. I know it has fuel injections, not carburetor. But i have not been able to locate pump.

Thank you very much for the link to videos. Very good service for my needs. Have not had many problems with this engine. Will most likely refer to them in the future.

Yes, generally blow with air nozzle along with air filters after each use. From video did find one small fuse under shroud that was bad. Worked fine for two cuttings then now having engine rpms drop when engaging the pto twice just turned off engine to check for debris and pulley bearing problems and it started working fine when restarted. Plugs have only 28 hrs on them. Any suggestions on what to check?

if replacing the fuse made it work, ask what caused the fuse to blow in the first place.

I didn't tie the fuse for the fuel pump into this problem. When i changed the fuse the pump came on when turning ignition and is still coming on and starting fine, seems to run well at full throttle, only when i engage the PTO. I could not get it to fail today. Tried it three times and it ran at full throttle with PTO on.
