As far as the Mobil (no "e") 1, it's good stuff. No oil is pure Group IV or V, but rather blended as to make a quality finished product. The two have very different characteristics, and many top-tier motor oils are a blend in order to get the benefits of both. Of course, Group III base stocks...

I'd fill it with fresh gas and oil, squirt a little oil in the cylinder, put a new plug in, and give it a try.

They certainly don't blend their own oils. They simply contract with one of the big blenders.

Sorry, I'm not familiar with this brand, so this is just a general statement. Some blowers and trimmers are quite fussy with the starting procedure used. Is there by chance a label on it with specific starting instructions?

Does it have spark?
