J.D. E120 Snowblower attachment works very poorly

John Deere prints their part number onto the belts to eliminate confusion. You simply check if the number on the belt matches the part number sticker on the cardboard holder. You don't have to measure the belt. This thread is a mess of clickbait posts, exhausting and confusing with all the talk...

    950M Zero Turn

Respectfully, we have differing opinions. I've run my equipment in temps lower than 25F and have never had a carb freeze up in 45 years, and that includes blowing snow. If there was a risk of carbs freezing in winter, why would manufacturers make snowblowers and blades for typical lawn tractors...

    950M Zero Turn

At the factory, John Deere fills them with Hygard hydraulic oil. Unless you're completely draining them, I wouldnt mix 5w30 or 10w30 with the Hygard. Plus, who is mowing grass under freezing temps with a zero turn? So temp is irrelevant. Put Hygard in it. Here is the label from a brand new...

JD LA130 road blocks - Just clicks when trying to start. And how the heck do you get those air cleaner cover screws out.

L130 is an older series than the LA series. It was very confusing looking up parts back in the day when they were newer because customers always confused the model numbers. Stats courtesy of tractordata.com and if that's not confusing enough, in 2006 (right in the middle), good old Deere...

    x590 Hydro screwed the pooch

That is some major leakage. Your cap appears to be an earlier style, but I dont think it's causing the issue. My advice is to power wash off the transmission really good and then put the tractor up on jackstands and let it run and look for the leak. Make sure your oil level isn't low. I'm...

John Deere x380 lawn tractor backing problems, need help

You are correct. We professionals would do that. Harry Homeowner, you don't want him to mess with that because he'll screw up his forward/reverse travel. It's a guaranteed service call lol. There is no point of a second lock nut, in my opinion. Usually once you tighten it, it will never come...

    J.D. X475 question

And they wonder why it's getting harder to find good, honest people to do good, honest work. I wish you the best and hope it all works out. Best of all, I hope the fraudster meets karma someday.

John Deere x380 lawn tractor backing problems, need help

Go behind your machine and look to the right of the transmission pulley. You will see the pedal linkage and control arm. The front jam nut is known to work loose, and you lose reverse. Forward will work just fine. DO NOT MOVE THE REAR LOCK NUT!! That will screw up everything. Just simply...

    x590 Hydro screwed the pooch

Go ahead and screw the cap down tight. It vents via the notch in the top of the cap and down the side of the threaded neck. (See red circles in pic) Some vapor and dust sticking to it would be considered normal. If yours is abnormal, please reply with some pictures. The tanks are known to leak...
