Scag Turf Tiger battery not charging

I guess to clarify, when you are checking for voltage at the B+ wire, where are you grounding the black lead of your meter? If you’re trying to ground it using the metal case of the regulator, then yes, a bad regulator ground could cause you to see no voltage on that wire. I always try to use...

Scag Turf Tiger battery not charging

The suspected bad ground would be if the regulator/rectifier is grounded. That would have no effect on DC voltage on the B+ wire.

Until you get battery voltage to the regulator/rectifier ground makes no difference. Once you get battery voltage to the regulator/rectifier, take your voltmeter, ground the black lead and touch the red lead to the metal part of the case of the regulator/rectifier. If you read voltage through...

Scag Turf Tiger battery not charging

You need to figure out why the DC wire shows no voltage. It should always at least show battery voltage. Right now, you have no connection to the battery, and you can't charge a battery you're not connected to. The violet-colored wire runs from the B+ terminal of the regulator/rectifier...

Kohler Command Pro Single Cylinder Horizontal Lifter issue

No sorry. I wasn't saying the lifter shouldn't bleed off. They will bleed especially like ILENGINE mentioned if that particular valve stops in the open position once the engine stops spinning and puts pressure on that lifter. As far as how to adjust the rocker arms, there is no adjustment. You...

Kohler Command Pro Single Cylinder Horizontal Lifter issue

Depending on the model #, the head will have to come off to remove the lifters. If it will start after letting it sit, the lifter is probably bleeding down. I'd check the oil pressure before I didn't anything else. Again, depending on the model #, Kohler had a rare issue of too much oil pressure...
