I need a plug aerator that is reliable, sturdy and won't break the bank

Sorry you didn't have good results with Air-8. I have not used the product personally. My neighbor does and his lawn looks great. I understand it takes at least 3 years for it to have the desired effect and the directions are very finicky, especially the mowing periods before and after use...

I need a plug aerator that is reliable, sturdy and won't break the bank

Yes slomo, there are many inferior tow behind plug aerators. The cheaper ones especially. i read they tend to bend and deform when loaded within their rated weight capacity. I did my homework though and am quite satisfied with what I bought. My John Deere LPPA40JD cost twice as much as the...

Need entire drive unit and cable for model # LC221RH, part # 961450032

I have read elsewhere the Husqvarna parts numbers are almost useless. The vary from site to site and even within Husqvarna's database as well. This alone will prevent me ever buying one of their products again.

I need a plug aerator that is reliable, sturdy and won't break the bank

Okay. After a lot of hemming and hawing and indecisiveness, I actually bought something. I purchased the John Deere LPPA40JD 40" Tow Behind Plug Aerator. It's actually made by a different company for Deere but it's pretty sturdy and it works well. It's supposed to pull 3" plugs. My plugs were...

Need entire drive unit and cable for model # LC221RH, part # 961450032

Thank you for the reply. I was not notified of it so didn't respond sooner. Who is your Husqvarna distributor? I contacted Partstree and received a response that doesn't make a lot of sense: "Dear Todd, Unfortunately, the drive control unit with cable is available under part number 589813201...

Need entire drive unit and cable for model # LC221RH, part # 961450032

Well, the title sums it up. I have the mower in the shop and the guy says parts are back-ordered from the factory. Been a week or so. Probably will never come in I guess. Tried to find something on the 'net before coming here. No luck. Any ideas? Thanks.

I need a plug aerator that is reliable, sturdy and won't break the bank

I found an affordable and effective way to aerate. It's called "Air-8". It's a liquid aerator you apply to your lawn. Works great on clay soils like we have around here. A guy up the street from me uses it and swears by it. Must work, his lawn looks great. I understand there are granular brands...

I need a plug aerator that is reliable, sturdy and won't break the bank

Hi folks, Running around my 1/2 acre yard with my John Deere X570 lawn tractor tends to compact the soil, especially where I turn a lot. Yes, aeration, probably annually, is the answer. But..... The gas powered ones run over 10 grand. That's a lot of loot for as much as I'll use it. No, I...

What's the best fuel for the Toro Power Max 1232 OXHE?

That's the plan Gord. The manual only says a MINIMUM of 87 octane, it doesn't list a maximum. After scouring the internet I also found no mention of a maximum octane there either. Thanks to everyone for there replies.

What's the best fuel for the Toro Power Max 1232 OXHE?

Thank you for the reply. I would opt for the high octane ethanol-free fuel myself IF it won't damage the engine. Why am I worried about that? When I was younger I burned out the head in a 4 cylinder vehicle. I was told it was because I was using 94 0ctane fuel in it and that it burned too hot...

    Picking the Best Snowblower

Another nice feature to look for on a snow blower is heated handles.

What's the best fuel for the Toro Power Max 1232 OXHE?

Hi folks, We just bought a new snow blower. The manual says to use fuel with not more than 10% ethanol. The low octane fuel around here contains 10% ethanol which would seem to be acceptable. The high octane fuel is available ethanol-free. It costs a lot more but that's not the deciding...

John Deere Owner Check-In --- Read This First!

I've been a member here for a few weeks or so now but just found the "welcome" thread. First time John Deere owner which is also my first yard tractor. The last thing I owned for mowing was a "big box store" Troy Bilt riding mower. As most here already know, the difference between a riding...
