Just my 2 cents but if it's anything like the new Cub Cadet snow blower 2X 30 EFI I bought last year, nothing but problems and Cub Cadet won't do any more than they need to help with customer service / satisfaction. I agree, mulching is not for grass. I have a mulching kit with mulching blades but it is only used after the last mow of the summer. I only mulch the leaves that end up on the yard. It does a very good job of making those leaves disappear.

Been using 10w-30 all my life in my mowers. Never had any engine problems on any mowers. Don't burn oil and have over 1,200 hours on them. The manufacturer isn't going to recommend 10w-30 if it's going to damage the engine! 30 weight is for small engines like 5hp engines.

Are you using ethanal gas? Ethanal can be hard on rubber and plastic over time. That's what Iv'e been told, but don't use it at all so just going by what I was told.

Does anyone have a JD Z655? Mine is a 2014 and had the right rear tire hydro drive where it bolts onto the mower frame break off. As there really is no fix without tearing the mower completely appart. I made a metal bracket and bolted it to the frame and hydro drive bolt. With that being said...
