Thanks Mark. I overlooked an important detail in reassembling. When I installed the new coil, I inadvertedly wedged the ground-out wire between the throttle assembly and the engine block. So when the block heated up it melted the insulation and then the bare wire grounded out the coil.

This is a Briggs 120212 0360 E1 6.5 HP engine on a Troy Built tiller. Replaced coil. Tested and confirmed firing plug. Engine started right up. Ran for about 5 mins the died - suddenly, just like when you would turn a switch. Carb still getting fuel, but now no park again. Disconnected kill...

Bought this tiller used. It was like new. However I have noticed that it is supposed to offer counter rotating tines. Tt does not. They rotate same direction as the tires, therefore, it does not till very deep. Anyone know how to fix this. Belts on wrong or what?

Have a Craftsman rider with Kohler Command engine. It sputters and/or dies when ascending hills especially, after about 10 minutes of use. I replaced entire carb as it was ethanol damaged. Replace fuel filter as well. New fuel filter was a little larger than original Kohler filter. Still...
