Works with a short hose, does not with a long hose. Fuel pump is new.

Not getting fuel to carb. Replaced fuel pump. If I give it fuel (from a jar) just before the pump and turn it over with line off on opposite side of pump, it works. If I add the 2 feet of line that takes it to the tank, nothing. Line not clogged. Valve not clogged. No fuel filter. PTO clutch is...
