Do I actually need a blade balance?

Never balanced a blade in my life, and never replaced a bearing or a spindle. Generally start the year with sharp blades, and sharpen once during the year. About 50 hrs. of mowing each year.

    Problem seating tire on rim

Have done a lot of truck tires with starting fluid….. but never a small one. I suppose you should use less fluid? 🤔.

    Which petrol E5 or E10 ?

Not really true. I was in the business for years, both as a transporter for a major trucking firm and as an owner of several gas stations. First off as a transporter we hauled all grades of gasoline, so that means someone was selling them. I am from MN and they regularly go forth and test...

SOLVED - TORO ZS5000 - nothing happening when turning ignition key...no problems the day before. (FAULTY SOLENOID)

Have you tried a boost charger for starting. I have saw solenoid problems temporarily overcome when using a booster charger.

    Bad Boy military discount

After 29 years in a small house on a small lot, we contemplated moving to a 5 acre lot and house. The major contemplation was what to do about the lawn? I mentioned this problem to a friend who informed me that the lawn was NOT the problem. The problem was how much I wanted to spend on a...

Convert GAS Briggs V-Twin to DIESEL?

I have a 2013 Mercedes 3500 Unity 23’ motor home. I get a consistent 16-17 mpg with it. My friends think I am lying, but I have the receipts to prove it. Owning and driving a small diesel is like owning a HD ElctroGlide! If you wanted something quick and fast, you shouldn’t have bought a...

    Fuel

I use non ethanol 91 octane in two cycle stuff with Sea Foam. Since starting that concept 15 yrs ago non of that equipment has ever seen the inside of a repair shop. Recently sold a Jonsrud string trimmer that had sat for about 6 yrs. Added fresh gas and it started right up. For regular use 4...

Are John Deer engines (Yanmar) reliable/durable?

Oddly after I had replied to this, I saw a YouTube vid about a JD430 with a 3 cyl Yanmar. That said I was sure JD had some 2 cyl diesel mowers. I have a JD955 with a 3 cyl 33 hp Yanmar. Great engine.

Are John Deer engines (Yanmar) reliable/durable?

I do think you are correct. JD did have some small diesel garden tractors. But IIRC they were 2 cylinders?

Are John Deer engines (Yanmar) reliable/durable?

Too bad they don’t put Yanmars or Kubotas in the smaller mowers. You have a 3 cylinder Yanmar or Kubota and you will never want an air cooled gas engine again!

    Best for hills?

The small town I live in bought the CC steering wheel commercial unit and loves it. They had used snappers for years. Very stable on side hills.

Cheetah II Hydro Pump Drive Belt Failure

That’s crazy. I have and had 4 kubotas over the years, none with less than 1300 hrs at the time of this writing. Have never replaced a belt or a mower deck bearing in one of them. Taking out a belt in 30 hrs is not rust or humidity. It would seem that even some misalignment would not suffice?

Pre mixed fuel vs mix it up yourself

I use 91 non oxy premium in all the 2 cycle stuff, and recommend yit for my daughters snowblower and mower since she isn’t conducive to treating it, or running the carb dry when she puts it away. All the 2 cycle gets Sea Foam. Since I started doing that 20 yrs ago I have not made a trip to the...

Gas Caps do seal out any condensation from entering the gas tank, despite the arguments here saying they do not

Isn’t condensation caused by the difference in temps between inside the tank, and outside, with a little bit of humidity thrown in? Condensation doesn’t leak in through a gas cap. Asking for a friend!
