This should be a nice challenge for you. You can convert the spark plug hole to an injector port. Deutz used a simple cam operated 'pump' for their injector.

Put a new plug in it, to start. These saws have VERY high compression ratio!

I have a similar Poulan saw and it, too, is extremely hard to pull the rope, very high compression! 14 to 1? Poulan/Husqvarna gave me initial settings and with those, my saw started a I was able to fine-tune the run/idle settings..
