BTW - I found an alternative. I was cleaning another engine and the carb looked familiar to me. It is a B&S 799868. Almost exactly as the 694146. Only difference is the linkage attaches to a plastic part instead of a metal one.

Hoping someone can point me in the right direction. I have a B&S model 12J802-2369-B1 engine. Need a carb and the B&S site part look up has the part number as 194146. I can't find this anywhere to purchase. Is there an alternative I can use because it's not available on eBay or Amazon. Or...

yes - it wasn’t moving

I’m new to using this - so did my first test. Found an old B&S lawn mower, hooked up leak detector, set to TDC, put in 70lbs of air. Here is what I got. 25lbs out Feel air coming out of muffler - not a lot Feel air coming out of carb - a little more. Any diagnosis?

I think it was overfilled - a lot of oil came out. There was water in the gas tank - totally cleaning the carb and replacing the gasket. Oil also came through the breather onto the air filter. I guess I can’t drain this one through the dipstick like I’ve done with other mowers. First time...

Both valves were closed which is why I’m so puzzled. How does oil pour - not drip through the muffler when tipped on its side?
