My GT275 battery light was intermittent but now it stays on steadily. Does this thing have a alternator or generator. Where do I find it and a replacement for it? Thx

Have an older garden tractor. GT275. It does not turn over sometimes. If I wiggle the key it sometimes will crank. I have the parking brake set and pto off and am sitting in seat. Does this sound like a bad ignition switch? How can I isolate the switch to see if it needs to be replaced? Thank you
