I just saw your comment that you posted on my "flap style" lawn striping system last year. Appreciate your note. I obviously don't get on the forum as often lately. The heavy rubber material is from an 18-wheeler mud flap and the length allows it to stripe moving forward and curl under in reverse without getting into the rear wheels. Coil springs from a hardware store keep the flap in firm contact with the ground as the tractor moves over uneven terrain and it will ride up over roots or "hard spots." I'd rather have a roller system affixed to the deck, but my two blades are offset so that one trailing edge of the deck is only about 2-3" ahead of the rear tire and space is limited. If you have come up with your own system, I'd like to see pics if you don't mind! Cheers!
