Echo was working but suddenly no more

Yes downloaded all the great info on both Walbro and Zama carbs. However the chart info is not there. With no chart (unless you are a pro) a DYIer usually will : 1. Seat H L and turn out T 2. Turn out L in 1/4 turn until she starts and idles at suggested RPM range turning in T 3. Turn out H...

Echo was working but suddenly no more

This is great. Can you please post something similar for Walbro carbs? I has all the relevant info including T settings and RPMs. I have both Zama and Walbro carbs and a general chart like this would be great rather than seating H L and then backing out 1/4 turn at a time! I've looked and...

    Mice

I put Tomcat green mouse blocks on walls tops and floor bottoms inside of shed. Another lesson I leaned the hard way, if you are in cold weather climate and storing for the winter-- on your last use for the season WAIT before putting in the shed. I make sure I leave the rider mower in the...

    Tillotson Q.

As a DYIer describing the method of 2-cycle carb tuning is like describing to a kid how to ride a bike with no training wheels. If you keep at it and keep practicing eventually a light goes off! To help me know if I'm getting warm, I use a tach to measure rip-ems, which the pros gauge by ear...

Subaru EA190VS5050 Power Washer - pouring gas

Possibly, however in my case I don't think so (see my longer reply below)

Subaru EA190VS5050 Power Washer - pouring gas

Good points fellas. Correlation does not necessarily equal causation... My neighbor is an old geek engineer like myself who is handy. I think in my case it was a stuck valve that I verified when I removed the bowl. The dark mixture was probably residue just sitting at the bottom of bowl...

Subaru EA190VS5050 Power Washer - pouring gas

What do you guys recommend for pressure washer pump protector? My pump does not have an oil resevoir like some do. The $15 bottle you can get at HD seems like a scam. Thx

Subaru EA190VS5050 Power Washer - pouring gas

Drained bowl. You could see gas mix in bowl was like dark turpentine, but bowl much cleaner than was expecting. Valve was stuck, so used carb cleaner and compressed air and got it moving again. Cleaned the bowl and then gave it a go. Started right up. Thanks!

Subaru EA190VS5050 Power Washer - pouring gas

Yeah Is there a chance the needle valve is just stuck open and bowl float & needle valve just needs to be cleaned out? I found the carb assembly item 210 in the diagram for $68 on ProPartsDirect so that seems a little more reasonable. Thx!

Subaru EA190VS5050 Power Washer - pouring gas

Did some more research and found it could be the float needle valve stuck. Would that be the 1st thing to look at?

Subaru EA190VS5050 Power Washer - pouring gas

Got a Subaru EA190V power washer S/N EA190-1479542 Lent it to a neighbor and was working fine. Got it back, started her up and noticed fuel shutoff was closed. So shut engine down and turned it back on. As soon as I turned fuel shutoff on, gas started pouring out of carburetor. Seems like...

Ahhhh thanks for the insight did not know that it's common. After doing both head gaskets, was surprised how dry one was .vs the other.

B&S Valve Adjustment Hiccup (Murphy's law & not a pro)

Yeah been changing the oil/filter every season with 2 qts of synthetic and yet have had to add any. Maybe I'm being anal and/or looking for something to tinker with. Probably should find something else... Thanks!
