From what I can gleam. The 492932 filter is a 36 micron with 48 sq/in of filter media whereas the 696854 is a 28 micron with 96 sq/in...

Is this your correct engine number? 219907-0131-B1 - Briggs & Stratton? If not, please list the model number and serial number.
