Run what you brung! see if you can get your mower issues? "sorted" if not, make a decision walk or ride ...and do your home work...buy something of quality...whatever that means in this day and age and plan on spending more than 5-7 hunn-ee on anything! good luck sir

That does not make an experienced lawn mower/small equipment Mechanic ... 99% of These gentlemen and sometimes ladies too...

Now this is for me....if it's "new" and it's "broke".. I don't fix it I BRING BACK to whom it came from and ask for a new one or let them "sort it out"....why spend anytime and or energy fixing something that you did NOT "Broke"

Nothing should be "on" when it's "off"...definetly see what the manufacturer tech reps say...lot's of wisdom here but I do not believe anyone here designed that unit...unless they did? and if so what is your take on it. T.Rubble Macher
