much louder engine: no muffler
Turbos make high pitched sounds... maybe you actually got it to spool up
The oil? Where was it coming from?
The gasoline... if the turbo spooled high enough then it got very very hot. I've seen them get glowing red hot. Might have melted the gas tank if it was...
Okay, should be interesting.
Might be best to just buy some race gas. I say you still need an oil pump. Among other things ;) I looked at your link. Uness I missed seeing it, the site doesn't give any specs on the turbo except "100hp" so you really don't know what you're getting in terms of...
I haven't been here in years and haven't played w/ turbo cars for a long time but when I got the email notification about this thread I had to read it. I figured it would be entertaining and it was. Also sometimes hilarious. Kudos to the posters who mentioned the necessity of pressurized oil and...
Hey all. I'm using an old 20624 now. What's the best blade... OEM or Oregon? I'm doing 60/40 mulching /bagging.
Also which jet is for the idle circuit... pilot jet?
I bought this new. It has the 223cc Briggs engine like the newer Toro Timemasters. Bottom line is I'm not impressed. The mower seems underpowered. I figured the 223cc engine on a 28" mower w/ two blades would be a lot better than this. Has the same basic problems that the older Timemasters had...
Honda HRR2169VKR MZCG 9143823
My neighbor brought me his mower to fix. I've fixed this one or another like it several times. He doesn't speak much English but he said "carburetor maybe" and showed me it wouldn't start. After I finished the Lawnboy I was working on I started on his Honda. I...
Are you looking at the blade or the fan? That fan is not going to be doing any lifting. Its sails are completely opposite of the way the sails are oriented on a lifting blade. I can't see it doing anything but opposing the lift from the sail on the cutting blade.
Lift blade sails are like this...
I bought a 10323 awhile back because I have some steep ditch I have to mow and I didn't want the oil starvation to be a problem in my 4 stroke mower. I don't see how this fan could help with mulching. Those fan blades are going to push grass blades down.
I want to make it clear I'm not disagreeing w/ Rivets here. I've owned a lot of mowers. I've had 3 Timemasters, a Turfmaster, and an Exmark commercial 30. I've had the newer 33" sold by Craftsman/Troybilt/Cub Cadet but I didn't have it very long. I've also owned an older 33" Cub Cadet that was...
Re: Timemaster weak drive *** Fixed ***
I couldn't think of anything else so I thought I'd throw a few more dollars at it. I replaced the plastic lever that the traction cable hooks on to. I didn't see anything wrong w/ the old one but it must have been cracked just enough not to work 100%...
The admin will probably move this to the Honda forum unless you make another post there. There are probably related threads listed just below this thread. It's a common problem and I just read a post by a guy having this problem and a member explained what the problem usually is and how to fix...
I can't figure this one out. 2013 Timemaster I bought as a project. I bought it thinking it only needed carb repair. I took care of the carb and it runs iike a top. The PP system drive system was weak. It would only propel the mower on pavement and then only if I grabbed the cable between the PP...
it's not always a sheared key. Most pros probably know this but some of us non-pros don't so I thought I'd share. FJ180V had a severe kickback problem (tore a ligament in my hand ouchie) and eventually refused to pull at all. I checked the key (Cub s621 PITA) and it was fine. Checked the valves...
I would haggle on the price a little more but try get it. There are two or three things that could be and all are easy to fix and parts are cheap. The wheels use a ratcheting drive system very similar in function to a ratchet drive wrench. Best thing to do is pull that wheel off and have a look...
