My sons & I own & maintain our 3 Conquest & 1 Broadmore Simplicity tractors with B&S Vanguard engines. Good to hear you figured it out.

Air up tires to specs.,

Pull dipstick & check for gas in oil sump.

Put a drop of oil on linkages & all moving parts.

I agree with ILENGINE, remove battery, take to auto parts store & kindly ask them to load test battery, let us know how it goes, thanks, Mark

NLA on the rings, a new engine will be your best bet, $ wise & less down time.

suggestion; trade your new ariens for new gravely.

Don’t forget using Dielectric Grease on battery posts, terminals, & everything electrical.

I believe the 30 second idle down on the throttle applies here also.
