    Is an EGO better?

Why catch the grass anyway? It's better for the soil to put the clippings back in to the ground.

    Dixie Chopper broken rear hub

If it still has 3 lugs left, that should still work just fine since the lugs are not carrying excessive weight... depending on how much the person operating the mower weighs of course

    Dixie Chopper broken rear hub

Man, I'm surprised the ACLU isn't suing this company in court to make them get rid of "Dixie" in their name!

Troy built mowers, don't want the oil changed, just add to original oil ??

That's easy... just drill a hole, tap some threads and put a plug in! You'll get more of the old oil out when draining it from a hole in the bottom when the engine is hot so this is beneficial over sucking out out from the top.

Troy built mowers, don't want the oil changed, just add to original oil ??

Meh, they just want to sell you a new mower soon er than normal, or at least a new engine. It's all part of THEIR corporate plan to in crease their bottom line! In other words, it's all about them and nothing about their customers. Best thing to do is change the oil easy season and put in...

    Questions - TimeCutter MX 5475

Well, mine was brand new in June of 202 when I bought it... and the fluid in the trannys played out after about 3 mowing seasons and I am only using mine to mow my yard (no commercial use). And with the drought we had this year, the grass died and I didn't mow all summer long, just a few times...

    Questions - TimeCutter MX 5475

In my reading up on all this, I found several individuals out there that do lawn mower repair that you can ship your trannys to and they'll rebuild them considerably cheaper than buying new ones. Besides, a lot of the guys that use their mowers commercially get long time service out of them if...

Ask high! You can always go down a little if need be. You could always search the net for use mowers like yours and see what others are asking to get an idea on how much to ask

    Battery trickle/smart charger necessary?

They have those little smart chargers that you could connect to your battery that will trickle charge it only as necessary to keep it at a healthy charge. This is likely going to be better for the battery's health verses disconnecting it and letting it sit there, although doing that should at...

    Making Hydrostatic Trans Serviceable

Draining the oil thru a hole in the bottom of the tranny while it's hot is obviously going to enable one to get more of the old oil out verses trying to put a line down in it to pump the fluid out. Many of the commercial mowers have a spin on oil filter that can be removed to drain the oil but...

    Making Hydrostatic Trans Serviceable

I recently experienced what felt like failure of the Hydrostatic Transmissions on my Toro Timecutter MX 5475 zero turn radius mower. After mowing for a while and getting it all warmed up, the transmission quite pulling and I could not move the mower. My first clue that it was not a permanent...

    Questions - TimeCutter MX 5475

Just installed the drain plugs on both sides this afternoon and mowed the yard, and WOW what a difference using Amsoil 20W-50 Synthetic Hydrostatic Transmission Fluid makes! The trannys are nice and quite, they are more responsive so changing the fluid definitely fixed my issue. The problem...

    Questions - TimeCutter MX 5475

Yeah, this ain't rocket science you know. It's a simple hole to be drilled slowly for the purposes of easily being able to change the oil. It's them city slickers that'll be paying others to fix their equipmemt. The shards from drilling will be caught in the oil coming out and that's when...
