I still don’t know how that ground lug got on there. I never had it in a shop for that kind of work. It had to have been there for the last 6 years since I owned it.

Welp…changed the stator…cleaned everything in that flywheel housing…put it all back together and it finally runs. Ran it on high for 30 minutes, ran the blades for another 10…fuse held. Voltage is 14.8 to 15 volts at the battery.

I rechecked all the wiring and found nothing. I do not have a fuel solenoid. The pink wire in the above schematic is capped off in the harness. I decide to try to get to the stator. I had to pull the engine off the mower just to pull the front drive shaft off. At least working on the engine...

Do you know if the fuel solenoid is a time delay…like two minutes…. That’s how long it takes to blow the fuse…just running at idle. Deck is NOT engaged.
