My briggs 16 hp v twin. I honed and put in new rings and it ran great for sevral mows but it started running very bad.I thought the head gasket was leaking as there was oil around it. I CHECKED THE compression and it was 180 psi. and one plug was wet. why wont it run right?

whats the smaller wire on starter and whats it hook to?

can someone please give me a simple wire diagram from tractor to engine? It's a 2165 with a 16 horse v twin briggs and stratton. I can't under stand the ones on the web. I took engine apart to rebuild and had to wait for parts and forgot how wires hook up. I should of took pics. the main thing...

It's a hds 2165 and old owner by passed all safty switchs including fuel solenoid , he cut the the rod going into carb. Thanks joey !

My starter solenoid quit working. you can jump the starter and it run fine.Is there a fuse for this? Thanks joey!

I got it running good. someone had the valves way to tight and bent the push rod.But one small problem after getting all put back together the starter solenoid quit working but will start and run if i jump the starter. Is there a fuse for this? thanks for all the help joey!

sorry can't take pics. I also found I have a oil seal leaking and coil has oil on it. Would this affect coil?

I don't know age . It was hardly used was gave to me by older gentalman. Hour meter doesn't work.all new fuel drained tank and cleaned carb engine pretty clean. Thanks joey!

It seems the right plug is not firing right. Took engine off tractor and seen a wire was off the right coil . this wire seem like it should go to kill switch but the other end go to left coil. Pulled right spark plug engine never changed swaped plugs and it ran the same.Is this my problem ...

My cub still not running right. It spits gas out of carb and huffs and puff when deck is turned on.I have about two acres to mow and I'm diabled so my son is tring to mow with push mower and weed eater. I need your help. Thanks joey!
