Yes a missing axle key will not let it pull. Yes it does have an axle key.

Check the steering damper

check theck the hub on that side and make sure the axle nut is not loose and sheard the axle key

if you are not going to reuse the old drain just cut the tube off the drain. Loosen the lock ring screw the drain out and install the new drain hose. I never have to remove the engine or loosen it.

Depends on the model mower you mowed with there some I don't like. But over all they are a good line of mower and will put them against anything out there.

Dixie Chopper never went out of business they were bought by Textron. Textron owned Jacbson and they built both mowers. Mechanicaly they were the same mower with diffrent trim package. They were then bought by Rhino Ag and are marketed under the Alimo group. It is a good mower,

I would never change out any of the hydro parts without changing the fluid and filters. I change the parts filters and fluids and flush the sytem to make sure I get all the metal shaving out of the system.

Don't have rocker arms it is not an over head valve head engine
