I have a LX 176 keep having to buy fuel pumps. The one on the side of the motor w/ three lines on it. I have bought the more expensive ones off the web with know success. Does John Deere make a better one that would last?

Thanks beretsmobile. I've had ifies :unsure:ordering online also. Sorry to hear that spring is not that critical. It's must be something else. It died after hitting something, restarted, surging and dying. I guess I,ll go out and troubleshoot some more instead of waiting for the spring to come...
Renewing an old post. Scrolling thru and found this thread. So I thought I'd give it a try. My LX 176 died after hitting something and then would not idle and surges. The only thing I could find was the governor take up spring. Would that cause this running condition?
