This is turning into a head scratcher. I replaced sump/sleave and new seal. I filled it with oil and let it set all day and never leaked a drop. I started and let idle a minute and started leaking oil again from seal. I removed dipstick thinking crankcase pressure may be forcing oil out...

I've had the sump off and sleeve looked in correct position. I have ordered a new sump/sleeve, seal and gasket. Will update once installed. Thanks for all information.

Thanks. The sump comes with a sleeve instead of roller bearing and if I'm reading right, it's all one unit. I'm wondering if the sleeve wallows out, would that cause leak at seal? 0C57320SRV

I have a 2008 Dixie Chopper with a GTV990 engine that one day just started leaking quite a lot of oil from crank seal on bottom side where pulley is attached. I replaced seal twice and each time placed it at a different level in case there was wear on the shaft but still leaks. Just wondering...

Plugs are new. No changes to mower since last time it was used. We did have a severe rain storm before it quit running and even though stored in barn it probably got wet.

2008 L.P. 3000 with a GTV760 Generac engine

Just pulled flywheel and found some shavings around crankshaft seal. This key looks suspicious. Would that be enough to effect timing and cause a no start?

Put small amount of 2 cycle mix gasoline in one of the cylinders and nothing. Wondering if I sheered a flywheel key.

Turns out I didn't do my homework. Sensors and gauges ohm ranges have to match and I didn't research that. Thanks for responses
