Few years' ago, while doing some maintenance, noticed the crankcase breather tube was plugged into the "backside" of the air cleaner housing..."after" the filter element. This didn't make much sense. So... capped off the nipple and give the breather hose it's own filter, instead of venting...

Yikes..snowed yest. Two days after this pic. Still runs like a champ for a 18-year-old-machine.

Even though I have a HRX, I'm sure this relates to other Hondas'. Something one can check if all else fails. I was getting a lotta lock-up on "one" side. Took things apart and noticed, the slot that the ratcheting key & spring sits in didn't have square edges, anymore. Over time, apparently...
