There is a torque value ,but it sounds like maybe that wasn't followed. I believe you'll have to carefully split the nut and then clean the threads.Be careful on reinstalling, torque wrench so you get an idea how tight is correct. Most guys,way overtighten these,you don't need to do this.Sounds...

On my old Cub Cadet,I don't know if it helps, I put a piece of floor mat under battery,a little bit of cushion

I use Interstate Battery, and never let a battery run down and freeze.Invest in a battery maintainer and volt meter.Keep the connections clean and tight ,the battery from jumping around.

Hi Mark I just snagged a 2290-42,its raining in Wi.I'm dying to get out there to mow.There a tough one to find,

I'm interested in a 42 inch mower.Any thoughts on this pulling an aluminum utility trailer around yard with a few supplies,and a lawn sweeper in the fall?Or should I just get aT2290 a designated lawn tractor.I'm concerned on the zero turns transmission not being beefed up versus the lawn tractor...

Sounds to me your dealer was not knowledgeable,wanted a quick sale and when you contacted him about safety, he wanted to beat you up thru your pocket book.Shame on him.I'm from the old school,this is not acceptable.

Thanks Lugbolt! I live in Wi.so need deck,vacuum and snow thrower.I was thinking it would probably be Kubota over JD.
