Think I'm going to buy a Turf Tiger... few questions?

For what it is worth, I have 2 suggestions for you. First, I have zoysia grass in my yard and I would love to get rid of it. It is a very aggressive grass and spreads where you do not want it. I have tried roundup and that seems to make it sick for a while and then starts growing again. It...

Best 2 cycle oil, and why

I am a fan of Amsoil Saber. It is a synthetic oil for 2 cycle engines. I mix the oil with non ethanol gas at the equipment recommended specifications ... ie. 50 to 1 or 32 to 1. The biggest factor for me is non ethanol gas. I lost 2 engines using 10 percent ethanol gas. 1 engine was a...

    Stihl BG 85 Issue

Check the spark arrester. It is on the exhaust port of the engine. Make sure it is clean. A clogged screen can cause the problem you are experiencing. I had the same problem with my Stihl line trimmer.

Dixie Chopper LT2700 started blowing white smoke suddenly

I highly recommend you change the oil and the oil filter. An over filled crankcase is a sign of gas leaking into the crankcase from the carburetor. Gas in the crankcase changes the viscosity of the oil and may result in engine damage if you continue to operate the mower without changing the...

Educate me on 2 cycle oil please

The important thing to look for is an oil that is manufactured or designed for 2 cycle air cooled engines. There is 2 cycle oil that is manufactured for 2 cycle boat motors that are water cooled. Do not use this oil. I use Ams Oil Saber that is designed for 2 cycle air cooled engines. It is...

    Steel Weed Whacker

I have used a 4 cutting edge blade on thick weeds and brush. My trimmer handled the job nicely. Yours will do the same. Be sure to use safety glasses, good work shoes, some heavy trousers, and gloves. The other thing you need to do is keep a firm grip on your machine. Be prepared for the...

New to the forum in need of help

First, I do not own your make and model mower so my help may be limited. All hydros have a lever or bolt that needs to be turned or backed out to relieve the pressure for moving the mower without the engine running. Look around the hydros and you should find it. There is one on each hydro...

    Wheel weights

I have a MZ 52 LE mower. I also had a problem with wheel spin and thought wheel weights would solve the problem. The problem occurred when mowing around landscape objects such as small diameter mulch beds around tree trunks. I had to swing the mower deck against the bed and back up to cut the...

    Paddle Replacement

I talked to my local Toro dealer and he gave me the information to determine whether I needed new paddles for my CCR 2000. I learned there is a wear indicator on the paddles and my paddles were well beyond needing replacement. I bought a new set and went to work replacing the old ones. It was...

    Paddle/Blade Replacement

I have a question about my CCR 2000E. How much clearance should I have on the paddle/blade and the blower housing? I think I may need to replace them because there is over 1/2 inch of space there now. Thanks,

    CCR2000E

I was looking for a used single stage snow blower to clear the areas that I can't get with my Kioti. I saw an ad on Craig's list. The ad only indicated a snow blower for sale at $85.00. The seller posted photos and it was a Toro CCR2000E. I jumped at it immediately. I picked it up...
