I wish they didn't make it all these parts in China and with weak materials. I wish they still made engines that are designed to last more than 10 years, like the old Briggs opposed/boxer twin engines. Those were solid engines.👌🏼

Ditto, blown head gasket, although, sometimes i see that wispy smoke on engines with good head gaskets, specifically briggs vtwins. Anyway, I'm not sure that that engine is supposed to have a fuel pump, usually those singles dont.

What engine is on the riding mower? We need the model number off the engine shroud. You have fuel, and compression which leaves air, spark, and timing. I would lean towards timing, so check the flywheel key and the valves. I bet the flywheel key is sheared. Maybe the valves came loose? I would...
