Hi it is fixed speed. I would say ten years maybe but was never used. I simply cannot find any means of adjusting the belt.

I cannot see any slot on the side. These are the numbers I can find on the chassis:- 582062 Part number 579629 Series 19 550SP Motor. 190 2850 Self Propelled 573298 If any of this helps.

I will look do you know by chance what size belt it should be?

There is also nowhere underneath when I take blade plates of to adjust the belt tension.

This is what I have. A swivel gear box and this belt system attached to it. There seems no way of adjusting the tension here. There are to springs put the pulley does not move backwards or at all so I cannot see how the belt can be tension here. ???

Thank you I have done that but my model is not there. Sarah.

Could somebody help me ? I cannot see how to tighten the drive belt. Each one I put on falls off after a few hours.
