Is there any way the fuel pump could be causing our problem? It is mounted on the side with of engine with actuation lever in oil pan.

I’ve got bowl off carb.and flipper float up and down a few times. I don’t think I’ve done anything to fix problem. What do you suggest I do next before changing oil? TIA
