FYI - the correct Lawn Boy coil: Kohler module 14 584 05-S Alum Std Ignition.

Ran for five minutes, and it stopped. Checked for spark after it stopped, and no spark. The coil had been replaced earlier in the summer for the same problem. Turns out there are several coils for the Kohler XT149. Found "the" coil, and replaced.

Mower starts up, and runs fine when cold. Runs anywhere from 10 minutes to 30 minutes before the revs decrease, and it stops. It starts up again after it's cooled off. New coil New plug New air filter Full tank of good gas Any suggestions on what to check? See this topic for photos of mower...

The best search results for air filters (so far) were obtained by using the engine type (PH-XT149-0025, a.k.a. XT149). Anyone know the model number (or name) of this mower, or if parts are generally found via the Kohler data found on the engine?

Can anyone help i.d. the model number of this mower? Also looking for an air filter cross-reference. The filter element "14 083 19-S" was $10.00, and the filter that was in the mower was element "14 083 01", which fit fine, and sells for less. Is there a good place to buy filters in groups of 3...
