Thanks for this, I was really hoping to just buy a new brake pad and glue it to the metal but it sounds like that isnt going to be an option. Kind of a waste.

I have a Honda HRX217VLA and it appears the brake pad fell off and is scraping against the metal flywheel when I release the blade control lever. Did you buy just a pad or the full brake assembly? If just the pad, how did you attach--some kind of glue?
