Loss of power could be a blown head gasket. Run the engine for a couple minutes, turn it off, remove the oil dipstick and look for engine exhaust fumes drifting out of the crankcase.

Agreed, if the starter is getting power and will not spin at all, you have a starter problem. You can try tapping on the starter with a hammer as a temporary fix. If that works, it's definitely the starter. You can also try yelling at it.

I believe you are referring to the 3 pole ignition solenoid. You can use a screw driver to bridge between the two large poles on the top, just to get it started, but I do not recommend it. Just replace it...

If one cutting strip shows two distinct cutting heights, deck level is not your problem. Look for a broken spindle (mandrel) and/or the deck itself may be bent at one or more spindle mounting points. A bent deck is often very subtle and hard to see. Remove the deck and look for variations in...
