Thanks for the detailed reply. I'll give it a look and probably order new parts for the brakes since I'm replacing all of the belts. Steering wheel is slightly off center when driving straight, so I'll fix that too. You get your parts from parts tree and replacementparts? I love those old...

I forgot to ask. But the brake pedal doesn't go all the way down on mine. The brakes work, but it might be an inch of travel. Is yours like that?

Oh mine is not he bag model. It's side discharge or mulch. But yeah, the rear discharge on the hondas aren't the most ideal. I got it because my snappers have bags and I didn't need a third. I usually just side discharge with them too.

I have two snapper hivacs and love them! Mine are old though. 78 and 84 model, so yours may be better. I definitely don't like the rear discharge feature. That's why I bought a side discharge. Lol. It's an HRS216, I believe.

That's what I thought too. But there's a metal piece within the steering wheel that is notched the same as the shaft. I can't for the life of me get the thing out of the steering wheel or to turn so I can put it back on the shaft
