    New Cheetah II Owner question

I'd get it on level ground & tires filled to spec, raise deck, go under & turn the blades by hand & pull to get them to meet, to check if they line up cutting tip to tip, then rotate 180* & repeat,etc... Just to rule this out.. The blades spin so super fast, it would give me peace of mind...

Toro ss4260 oil change - drain setup !

Ur welcome. I guess so, mine was tight, take care of that 4260. Mine was never a problem. Good machine.

Anyone ever added a flexible skirt to a mower deck?

I've read of others using a truck thick rubber mud flap cut to size & bolted on.. Reportedly with good results. I have front metal baffle on my Z. Adding it was like night & day improvement.

Toro ss4260 oil change - drain setup !

Yep, cut that barb off, & that was the only engine I wanted as well. I have same engine in my Liberty also. They should have came stock with the flex hose. For POS removal, (Drain all oil 1st of course) You will likely have to loosen the IIRC 1" lock nut against the engine so you can...

Toro ss4260 oil change - drain setup !

Thanks for the good catch, I had a Muncie car tranny in my head from earlier.. I stand corrected, & edited my post. And I found it to be M20 - 2.50

Toro ss4260 oil change - drain setup !

The Dealer would probably tell you, have to remove the engine bolts & raise the engine to remove the POS poly-plastic drain. but likely they would just saw off the barb, then charge for that the whole deal.... Doing same thing on my Liberty w/Kawasaki engine..

Toro ss4260 oil change - drain setup !

Cool, I think the 4260 only came with the Kawasaki engine. Anyhow mine was last year Toro made the 4260 (2014). So I was told.

Toro ss4260 oil change - drain setup !

You gotta ditch this 1st POS ......................... & add this, OE flex drain line.. On my former Toro 4260 Kawasaki I had same issue.. You can cut off the drain barb with utility knife, or hacksaw blade, so it can be rotated out of engine block. BTW: Threads are metric M20 x 2.50 ( I...

    Cannot find oil drain plug

I know about that, I put a rubber cap on the nipple on mine, buying time (hopefully) till I do the oil again & add the OE Hose, that should have came on there.. My Air compressor is only one I use suction to do the oil change on. And since it is only 22 oz, I just use a 5 oz syringe.

That still has 1 tiny 0-ring in the end. (like poly-plastic drain ) & to install it, you need to loosen engine bolts & raise it to rotate drain with hose barb.. I'll pass, the hose is what I prefer.

Since the oil & filter change, my Z has been sitting & I just noticed a wet oil weep on the cheap poly-plastic (sic) oil drain nipple end.As pictured.. Always hated that cheap drain, had same on my former Toro w/same Kaw engine as well. So for now I pushed a silicone end cap on the nipple...
