I'd like to find out the model and year of my toro with a Suzuki 4 stroke. It's got a mikuni carb and it's surges/idle hunting. Also runs rich

You need to look for the model number tag for much help. Also, surging/hunting usually indicates a lean running condition.

Look for the model number on the back of the deck -- possibly under the big plastic part of the bag. It's a decal if it's like my Toros.

Look under the crosspiece where the throttle control is located, I have seen some there... Up at the top, where you push.....

No, that is likely the sticker part number. Nothing on the bottom of that piece? Look for part numbers on the throttle cable too, I may be able to backtrack....

If its like mine the sticker was on the back of the deck and is long gone take a snapshot of your trans ill tell you a model num for parts. The 5hp Suzuki rly never changed parts and the older toros just changed trans type everything else is the same

You have to take the cover off the top of the trans I can tell which by the pulley that's on there.
