Guys I have been on the hunt for this issue for quite some time and I am having no luck. What happens is the machine start just fine and runs just fine and sometime just out of no where it will act like the choke was pull, start running rough and smoking and then clears right up. It happens when just sitting at idle at time, it is purring like a kitten at low idle and then it goes into like a flood mode and acts up, smokes and recovers all on its own.

FH680V AS05 took it all apart and did not see any signs of any issues....

tart by isolating the problem to a specific section .
Check that the fuel solenoid is working properly then remove the kill wires from the magneto coils.
If the problem goes away then you have short in the kill wires or a dodegy safety switch which can appear s a rich running problem.
If it does not go away then there is a sticky exhaust valve or carb problem.
