I have a 89 YT16H that the trans seems to be slipping. I have changed the fluid and put on new belts. They are all tight & every thing seems OK. Sometimes its ok when I first start out but it gets worse as you go along.Any suggestions? saminmn

Thoroughly inspect first, everything hands on, have another mechanic assist you.
I would first make sure it's the transmission and not differential [ rear end ] etc. if applicable. If you find it is transmission, I would drain it, remove trans., disassemble, inspect for worn or broken parts, order necessary parts. You might want to purchase service manual, make sure it includes transmission.
