Yardman dx70 problem

Hi everyone, first post from me. Don't know what's going on here (I've had this mower for the last four years with no trouble at all) but I put the mower away after cutting the grass all was fine. The next time I went to use the mower it started as normal put it into gear pushed the accelerator and the engine cuts out! any thoughts would be much appreciated.

Please provide us with the model and serial numbers for both the unit and engine so we have an idea what you’re dealing with.

The engine is a 8.5hp Briggs and Stratton model number 198701
I'm sorry to say but the model plate for the mower is missing!

Need all engine numbers, model type and code. If there is no ID tag on the unit, under the seat, then a few pictures of the unit may help us ID the model.
