Winterizing

I know its a bit late in the season but what are the opinions on the best way to winterize equipment and engine's?

For example..

Adding fuel stablizers, completely draining fuel system, applying protectants and/or lubricants to surfaces, ect, ect.

Add fuel treatment i use star tron and fill the fuel all the way to the top and run for about 5-10 minutes and then that is what i do i worked for me for years good luck

Everyone has different opinions on this subject. Some say to just run the gas out of the carb, but then there is the potential that the rest of the gas in the tank will go bad. Others say drain your tank out completely, but then you risk getting moisture in things. What I just do is keep a little gas in my mowers and run them weekly. That way the gas doesn't have time to go bad, and it doesn't just sit all winter without being ran. Here are two threads explaining things you can do:

:laughing: You could be like we are down here in LA (Lower Alabama) It is in the high 70's today. I pretty much run something year round. I ran my zero turn the other day grinding up some leaves and I have run everything else with no more than a two week interval. I do put Stabil in everything when things started to slow down.

Lucky! I wish we didn't have this span of 3 months where there are no lawns to mow and it only snows like once a month! :thumbdown: Now if we got a big foot of snow every week I would be happy! Like February 2010 (see pictures). 41 inches of snow in 3 days!! :thumbsup:
