Hi all.
New to the forum today.

Intend on restoring an old Victa model 5.

Internals will be as new, but Wanted the exterior to look it's age.

Any tips on this resto before I tear the mower down?

Thanks DanOzz

Not really sure what you mean "look it's age"
You going to repaint it in avacardo hammer finish the tip a bucket of gravel over it from 50 feet to simulate all the stone chips
Or file a groove in the pull start to simulate the wire cutting through the casting ?
Or grind all the tread off the tyres ?
Or punch holes in the sides of the right wheels ?

SO if you want hints on how to achieve a 1954 patina some here might be able to help.

If you want technical information then you are in the wrong place.
There would be lucky to be a bakers dozen Aussies on here & of them less than 1/2 would know what a model 5 looks like.
I would suggest that the Outdoor King forum or the Vintage mowers forum would be a more helpful place to visit.
Both of these require a $ 5.00 donation towards the cost of running the forum.
I am on both of them but don't post on outdoor king very often.
Th e bulk of the members here are from the USA so know lots about Lawnboys but SFA about Victas.
