What where you expecting it to do? Seems simple it just closes a door so LESS grass gets blown out the chute for a short time.

It doesn't block enough, w door closed I still had hour of clean up mulch pond totally disappointed

Blocking plates work best when used with a deck that has had the mulching attachment installed in it.
If the cut is more than 1/2" then there will be rows of clippings regardless of the machine make.

I totally understand your point. They sell them as something that will stop grass from getting all over when all they do is lessen the amount. I purchased a mulching kit for my mower and noticed that grass was still coming out of the deck and being throne. I decided it was not something to count on for keeping flower beds clean. For my own house I went with rubber mulch. It can with stand more blowing speed. It helped with clean up time.

Exactly don't advertise something better than what it really is. I went w factory because they said it was better well it's better just not as good as some aftermarket models I've witnessed just disappointed w how much is still thrown into the mulch

This reminds me of the Papa Johns commercial. Slogan is better ingredients better pizza. They got sued and for saying it was better. Judge rulled that is was ok because they believed it was better. So truth in advertisement is total BS.
