Turf Tiger - Does anyone have the B&S 36hp Big Block?

I was looking into a commercial unit to replace my Crapsman DSG6500 garden tractor with a Scag ZT Turf Tiger, I have about under 3 acres of grass and a few trees.. mainly flat land.. residential property.. my current Crapsman with the Kohler courage 27hp bogs down under wet grass from the morning dew and chutes out clumps when mowing the lawn, tried all type of blades.. this mower is only good mowing at 2mph... it's not made for mowing more than 1 acre, plus I only get 1 solid good cut on a 4 gallon tank.. I've finally saved up to get get a zt mower.. any one running the big block in their turf tiger? How many cuts can I get out off the BB on the TT

Not exactly the answer to your question, but in August I got the Scag Tiger Cat with 27hp Kohler, 61" velocity plus deck. It will easily mow at 6-7 mph and mows great in the morning with wet grass. I've never had it throw a clump of grass out. I've never tried the Turf Tiger(I'm sure it's great) but if you're looking to spend less money, I love the Tiger Cat! Good luck

I mow 3 acres of a mix hilly and flat grass. I bought my turf tiger with the velocity 61" deck and 35 hp briggs and have about 75 hrs on the beast. I can't bog the thing down it seems like even when I mow the wet high stuff. It really is a great machine and suprisingly not bad on gas either. I get about 3 cuts to a tank and I do believe I have the 8gal tank. I love it. Hope it helps.
