People,

Have an old MTD mower, Model 667. Need a new wheel (with new tire) for the front, part list shows "Rim" is 634-0024. Mine has a 5/8" ID on the "bearing", I guess they call it, the "hole" in the wheel that slides onto the axle. I would like to but on line, but difficult to determine the bearing diameter . Any tips on how I can tell? Is the "bearing" the correct term?

Thanks, people.

According to research the 741-0787C flange bearing (plastic/nylon flange bushing) ID is .632" that is use in the 634-0024 (Current part number is 753-0838-0662). 5/8 is .625".

I will re measure with a precision ruler, perhaps it is 0.625, as it is so close to 0.632. I initially measured with a basic tape measure......

It makes sense when you think about it. The bearing can't be a fiction fit to the axle.

Your local small engine shop might have a good used one lying around. If need be, you can get new bushing from the shop as well. Then you're good as new.

I call it "Brand Used" parts. Pefect condition, but at used part price.

Tractor Supply has a 11" front tire with wheel.
Has the plastic bushing.
Don't know if the store is in your area.
