Does anyone know where I can find on-line a list of recalls or repair bulletins for my Troy-Bilt 2420 snow blower?
The machine would not start. I ruled out the carburetor before taking it to a local shop. Local repair shop has traced the problem: The machine is designed to shut down the engine when the throttle is pushed all the way to the right. In that position, there is a metal plate, contact with which shuts down the ignition circuit. The shop says the screws that hold this plate are supposed to have some kind of adhesive that prevents vibration from working them loose, but this adhesive was missing. The plate was loose and always in contact with the kill circuit.
Probably there is a manufacturer's bulletin on this. Are these available on-line? I'd like to see it.
TIA
John
